We are an accredited and approved Service Centre for Jaguar Land Rover and we are opening a BRAND NEW Renault workshop this summer.

Autocare Technician - Great Dunmow, Essex

Job Description

Due to planned business growth and the recent opening of a new additional workshop facility, Taylor’s Service Centres has an opportunity for an additional, permanent, experienced Service / Autocare Technician to join their team in Great Dunmow.

Responsibilities & duties

  • Must be a competent Vehicle Service Technician and able to carry out Vehicle Health Checks (VHC’s) and a variety of mechanical duties.
  • Offer a high standard of workmanship and understanding of requirements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies.
  • Be a team player.
  • Welcomes additional training and personal development.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Performing VHC’s and general checks.
  • Undertake general mechanical duties including, servicing, oil changes, tyre / brake changing, fitting batteries etc.
  • Fitting of tyres to customer vehicles
  • Use vehicle alignment equipment
  • Use company systems to complete company and manufacture processes for invoicing and customer feedback
  • Occasionally speak directly with customers advising of tyre requirements and options available.
  • Keep work space clean and tidy

Skills and experience:

  • General vehicle service / mechanical knowledge
  • Tyre Fitter experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Smart appearance as customer facing
  • Full driving license

Training & Career Path

Taylor’s are able to offer long-term personal development pathways including becoming either a JLR or Renault qualified Vehicle Technician, via manufacture ‘excellence ‘ training academies.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday only.
  • Mon – Thu 08.00-17.30, Fri 08.00 – 17.00
  • 42 hours per week.
