Diagnostic Technician - Great Dunmow, Essex

Positions: 1
Contract: Full time
Basic Salary: £36,000-£40,000 (DOE)+ Bonus. OTE £49,500
Hours: 42 hours per week. Mon-Fri only.

Summary

Due to continued business growth we are now seeking to recruit a Diagnostic Technician to join our dedicated team of Vehicle Technicians at Taylor’s.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose system faults(mechanical and technical) across a whole range of vehicles as well as carrying out routine service and repairs.
  • Assist and coach colleagues with technical assistance.
  • Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to diagnose and fix vehicle issues.
  • Conduct VHC’s, mechanical inspections and identify necessary repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle conditions.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Must be a Vehicle Technician with Diagnostic experience.
  • Possess a Level 3 automotive qualification (IMI/C&G/NVQ).
  • Preferably have an independent garage back ground.
  • Excellent problem solving skills

Training & Career Path

Taylor’s are able to offer long-term personal development pathways including becoming either a JLR or Renault qualified Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, via manufacture ‘excellence ‘ training acadamies.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday only.
  • Mon – Thu 08.00-17.30, Fri 08.00 – 17.00
  • 42 hours per week.

Parts Advisor - Great Dunmow, Essex

Positions Available: 1 (Due to business expansion)
Hours: 42 hours pw, Mon-Fri
Salary: up to £32,500 DOE + bonus / £40,000 OTE

The Role

Due to continued business expansion Taylor’s Service Centres are looking for an additional experienced Parts Person to join our team,

Working within our busy Parts department dealing with Warranty, Retail and Trade Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for covering the parts desk, dealing with inquiries via telephone, email and face to face, daily collation and distribution of parts to all technicians, using part catalogue systems, stock control / returns, plus general day to day administration duties.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will;

  • Ideally have at least 12 months previous experience of working within an Automotive Parts Department
  • Sales focused.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Be reliable, conscientious and at times, be able to work on their own initiative
  • Have a flexible approach to work.
  • Team Player
  • Have a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department duties and administration.
  • Plan ahead and manage time carefully to ensure all tasks are achieved
  • Greet, develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, colleagues, suppliers and external representatives, in a timely manner.
  • Remain professional, calm and positive at all times
  • Assess own performance and effectiveness and undertake professional development activities
